Small-to-medium life safety solutions

August 2007 Fire & Safety

QuickStart represents a line of fire control panels that brings the power of big-system intelligence to small and medium-sized buildings.

QuickStart's application flexibility and ease of operation, make it an ideal choice for schools, flats, and commercial facilities.

The best of both worlds

With options that support Signature Series intelligent or Apollo Series 65 conventional circuits, or a mixture of both, QuickStart is a solution for new and retrofit applications alike.

New installations benefit from our widely acclaimed Signature Series family of intelligent detectors and modules. Now, no job is too small for true multisensor technology, environmental compensation, electronic addressing, and the power of intelligent processing that, before QuickStart, was the exclusive domain of big systems.

Retrofit applications enjoy the best of both worlds. QuickStart's support for both intelligent and conventional circuits ideally positions this innovative control panel for upgrading an existing system all at once - or in stages. With Signature Series' ability to use existing wiring, expensive communications-grade cable and costly rewiring is not required in most retrofit situations.

There are several QuickStart control panel options to choose from for any particular application:

QSC fire alarm control panels

For small to mid-sized buildings, the QSC is suited for new and retrofit applications in schools, flats, hospitals, office buildings and retail facilities.

Designed for easy setup and simple installation, it lives up to its name in every respect. QSC's exclusive QuickStart auto-learn function, and the option of configuring the panel using convenient front panel programming or from a PC, makes short work of system setup. Location message text entry is as easy as well. A few simple passes of the optional scanner is all it takes to store custom messages.

Supporting up to 48 conventional Class B or a combination of 40 Class A and Class B initiating circuits, this panel leaves plenty of room to grow. QSC provides built-in support for the Apollo Series 65 conventional smoke and heat detectors.

QS1 single loop intelligent addressable panel

As an intelligent panel, QS1 supports Signature Series devices, which can use existing wiring in most retrofit applications. This makes upgrading from a conventional detection system to analogue a simple operation with minimal disruption to normal operations on site.

QS1 also features the QuickStart auto-learn function, and the option of configuring the panel using convenient front panel programming or from a PC, and is suited for new installations in schools, flats, hospitals, office buildings, and retail facilities.

Supporting up to 250 intelligent detectors and modules, QS1 takes full advantage of EST's exclusive Signature Series technology, which provides electronic addressing, automatic device mapping, environmental compensation, and true multisensor detection.

QS4 intelligent addressable panel

EST's QS4 QuickStart life safety control panel provides conventional and intelligent addressable circuits in a single control panel. As an intelligent panel, QS4 supports Signature Series devices, which can use existing wiring in most retrofit applications. As a conventional panel, QS4 supports compatible devices already installed at the site.

As a hybrid system, QS4 leaves plenty of room for expansion. There is no need to tear a building apart in order to upgrade the life safety system.

Supporting up to 1000 intelligent detectors and modules, QS4 takes full advantage of our exclusive Signature Series technology, which provides electronic addressing, automatic device mapping, environmental compensation and true multisensor detection.
