AV Electronics setting new standards

AV Electronics, a leading turnkey supplier of electronic security systems has received international ISO 9002 (Quality Systems Management) certification from TÜV Rheinland, Germany's leading certification organisation.

The ISO 9002 certification applies to the entire company affirming that its administration, human resources, orders processing, instrumentation, documentation, technical performance and quality assurance management subscribe to levels substantially higher than is required by law.

Says Managing Director, Gary Davids, "While it took us some three months to adjust to the work practices required for ISO certification, the new standards have actually eased individual employee's workloads and improved work-flow efficiency throughout the company.

"Introduction of ISO standards has brought significant benefits, including easier customer access to information on the status of installations and maintenance, not forgetting the peace of mind of dealing with a quality-assured partner," he said.

Compact Management Services, consultants in quality/environmental management systems were appointed to assist AV Electronics in obtaining its certification.
