The E-549 is the ultimate all-in-one outdoor surveillance camera. It combines a high resolution day/night camera and auto iris vari-focal day/night lens with an infrared illuminator and IP66 rated vandal-proof enclosure.
The E-549 has been designed to provide true colour reproduction in the day and B/W infrared imaging at night with no focus shift. It achieves this by using a mechanical day/night switchover filter which removes the IR-cut filter from the CCD when switching to the B/W mode.
The lens fitted to the E-549 is a special infrared compatible type.
Integrated into the E-549 is a 48-LED infrared illuminator. This switches on when the camera moves to the day/night mode. It provides extensive illumination for the camera in the B/W mode allowing surveillance in conditions with poor or no lighting. An innovative function of the camera allows the installer to select two different modes of IR illumination. Depending on the illumination required, the installer can set the IR LEDs to high or low. In situations where the area to be covered is more confined or there is the presence of a white wall, the low mode can be configured.
