Prestigious new security industry competition

The search is on for the security industry's finest system installers, in an exciting and prestigious new competition to be inaugurated at the Securex show in June under the auspices of CCTV/access control equipment supplier, Reditron.

At stake are a major cash prize, a handsome floating trophy and the kudos of being recognised as the South African security industry's first 'Installer of the Year'.

Participants will be challenged to connect and configure a variety of Reditron-supplied technologies, including CCTV cameras, digital video recorders and more, according to a predetermined specification.

Reditron managing director, John Loftus, says: "Installers will race against the clock and they will be evaluated on their ability to come up with the most innovative, effective and aesthetically successful solution. It is going to be a real test of implementation, diagnostic and problem-solving skills, and the rewards will be tremendous. We are anticipating a great response from the industry.'

Participants will enter in teams of two, and work together to meet the challenge. The winning team will win a cash prize and a floating trophy - the intention being to repeat the competition at future Securex shows.
