Gallagher Security Africa promotes four people

With a strong emphasis on regional growth in 2025, Gallagher Security announces the internal promotions of four team members in its South African operations.

Stepping into their new roles in April, Tarryn Fortune and Nico Smit have been appointed sales managers, Travis Dlamini steps into the position of junior repair technician, and Joshua van Rensburg has been appointed logistics manager.

As sales managers, Fortune and Smit will be responsible for driving revenue growth by developing and executing sales strategies, managing key customer relationships, and identifying new business opportunities. They will also be involved in leading and coaching sales teams to achieve targets and ensure the team delivers value to customers.

Gallagher Security, group operations officer, South Africa, Morne Grobler says, “The hard work, dedication, and commitment to excellence by these four team members has not gone unnoticed, and their exceptional skillsets are an absolute asset to Gallagher. Fortune says, “I am honoured to step into the role of sales manager, a position that presents both exciting opportunities and significant responsibilities. Having worked closely with clients across various sectors, I have witnessed firsthand the evolving security landscape and the growing need for innovative, integrated solutions.”

After 12 years as a warehouse assistant at Gallagher, Dlamini transitions into the role of junior repair technician, where he will be responsible for handling modular repairs, troubleshooting and testing of energiser units and access control systems, as well as assisting with administrative tasks, providing technical support, and managing inventory.

He says, “Working at Gallagher has allowed me to grow and develop my skills, and I’m excited to take on this new role as a junior repair technician. Being part of a company that delivers industry-leading security solutions makes me extremely proud.”

Rounding out the internal promotions is Van Rensburg, who will move into the role of logistics manager, where he will be responsible for sales, delivery, and repairs within the warehouse
