Suppliers of the digital video recording and management systems to South African Airways, Vision Catcher exhibited at the recent Airport Show at the Sandton Convention Centre. We experienced great interest in our large variety of products including the Premium system used by SAA, resulting in the visitors wanting immediate demonstrations on the stand. The quality of the visitor was good, as there were many high-ranking people visiting from various countries in Africa and the Middle East. These visitors were from a variety of fields, looking for solutions to combat the risk of terrorism. What we found to be refreshing with this calibre of visitor is that unlike some security shows where the visitor just grabs a brochure and rushes off, the visitor at the airport show gave us his problem in detail and we were able to discuss and demonstrate real solutions.
There was significant interest for our more appealing products such as The Intelligent Threat Analysis system and MIS, there was also surprising interest in our mobile DVR system, FleetVu, and our newly launched European market leading automatic number plate recognition solution using a large variety of local number plates. In fact the volume of demand kept us busy with these two specific products for demonstrations throughout each day.
