Intelligent, intuitive surveillance solutions

April 2005 Surveillance

Panasonic introduces the Super Dynamic III Series Surveillance Cameras, which incorporate several newly developed, proprietary technologies that deliver excellent image quality as well as extraordinary intelligent features, collectively yielding the world's most advanced 24-hour surveillance solution.

The cameras are capable of capturing images that depict the contrast, detail and colour of reality for accurate identification purposes, effectively overcoming the frustrations and shortfalls of current technology.

As the name suggests, Super Dynamic III is the third generation of Panasonic's proprietary Super Dynamic technology. It offers a dramatically improved dynamic range, enabled by pixel-based 160x Dynamic Range Correction (which adjusts automatically to moment-to-moment changes in contrast, making it possible to view subjects accurately in all areas and positions) as well as intelligent image processing capabilities.

NPC (Electronics) is the exclusive importer and distributor of Panasonic products in South Africa ('Panasonic'). The newcomers are the WV-CP480 Series - a fixed-type colour surveillance camera; and the WV-CS950 Series - an all-in-one dome-type colour surveillance camera.

"These new Super Dynamic III DSP and dome cameras testify to Panasonic's ability to provide security professionals with products that provide new and innovative video surveillance solutions," says Mags Anthony, divisional director: Panasonic Broadcast and Television Systems. "They also confirm Panasonic's leadership in digital video technology which, in terms of video security and surveillance system products, also includes digital video recorders, matrix and switching systems, control software, comprehensive network solutions, monitors, lenses, peripheral devices, and iris recognition access control and authentication systems."
