Elvey Security Technologies - 58 years of driving the standards ... with an instinct for security

June 2004 News & Events

Elvey Security Technologies, South Africa's leading supplier of electronic security products, celebrates 58 years of service excellence to its extensive clientele.

While Elvey does not sell a product, but rather a service, the company believes that good service implies having excellent products, and has ensured that this is achieved by establishing solid relationships with its premier suppliers.

Elvey has established relationships with corporations in other parts of the world, including Optex (Japan), Alarmcom (Switzerland), Caddx (USA), DSC (Canada), Samsung (Korea) and many others, all of whom have always been involved in the creation, development and manufacture of the industry's most reliable security systems and software.

Elvey successfully listed as Elvey Security Technologies, on the main board of the JSE Securities Exchange in May 1999. The listing was well accepted by major institutions. In February 2001, the JSE-listed company, Hudaco, announced that it had acquired the majority of the shares in Elvey Security Technologies. The company now forms an important part of the Hudaco Group. With Hudaco's financial strength, expertise in distribution and its extensive branch network, Elsec's growth prospects are certainly expected to enhance.

Elvey is currently represented at branch level throughout South Africa, in all the major city centres as well as in Windhoek in Namibia and Harare in Zimbabwe.
