HIKMICRO: See the world in a new way

HIKMICRO, an international manufacturer of thermal imaging equipment and reliable solutions for a safer, smarter and more efficient world and Silver Sponsor at Securex 2022, will feature several of its products on stand A05 this year.

Amongst these will be its high quality yet affordable thermal imaging cameras, such as the E1L model, which is a lower cost unit available to electrical and mechanical artisans for quick and easy fault finding. This unit is lightweight, durable, easy to use and offers exceptional image quality and resolution - a must-have for any electrician and mechanical artisan to have in his toolbox. The company will also feature the M30 model, which offers customers even better IR Resolution at 384 x 288 and the option of manual focus, making it more suitable for smaller targets at longer distances.

The newly launched HIKMICRO G60 offers the more professional thermographer an IR detector resolution of 640 x 512 on a 4,3-inch LCD touch screen. It uses Wi-Fi hot spots to connect to the free-to-download HIKMICRO Viewer App via your smartphone for live image view and full control of the thermal camera. Additional lenses offer the thermographer more accuracy and better image quality over longer distances.

HIKMICRO also offers thermal solutions in turret, bullet and cube forms for the continuous monitoring of critical equipment. Site engineering teams will now be able to collect and store live data from transformers, megawatt electrical motors and other equipment that is considered critical for efficient production processes.

HIKMICRO’s thermal cameras are now also increasingly used for early fire detection as well as temperature screening, which will remain important for reopening and resuming businesses of all types. The thermal cameras have been very effective for early fire detection because they are non-contact and can visualise a two-dimensional heat profile. Combined with unique artificial intelligence, they provide smarter alarms long before traditional smoke detectors or other conventional fire detection systems.

HIKMICRO thermal cameras offer a temperature screening solution, made up of various products and a wide range of applications, designed for the detection of skin-surface temperatures to achieve rapid and safe initial screening in public areas. Temperature screening cameras may also be integrated into security and access control systems in convenient ways that work very successfully, with functionalities that include social distancing measures, crowd and traffic controls, mask detection, access control and employee attendance tracking, temperature screening and more.

Fluss: turn your smartphone into a key for almost any electronic lock

Securex 2022 attendees interested in moving towards greater automation either at home or at work, would do well to visit stand D08 for more information on Fluss, a locally developed app for both Android and iOS devices, which can be integrated with a small device connected to your home or business access control system that turns your smartphone into a key to open almost any gate, garage or electronic door lock.

Using the latest standards in encryption and authentication, the app also allows users to give friends, relatives or employees access at specified times and allows you to easily see who has been using the access and at what times.

“Our aim with the Fluss app is to simplify your life by replacing all those remotes and key cards with a single app on your phone, the Fluss app,” explains Fluss founder, Thomas Davies. “The Fluss app turns your existing access control solution into a smart one and allows you to do so much more.

“Through our user dashboard, Fluss keeps detailed, accurate and safe access logs, with complete data privacy, allowing users to know exactly who accessed a site and when,” explains Davies. “All of our cloud-based data is compliant with GDPR and PoPIA data protection laws.”

Don’t miss out on the twice daily Fluss device giveaways, valued at R1000 apiece, as well as the company’s surprise ‘tech Easter egg hunt’ competition. New distributors signing up at Securex will also quality for a launch special 25% discount on their first month.
