Video surveillance as a service

Issue 6 2021 Surveillance

In this day and age and economic climate, saving costs and improving service delivery efficiencies is of the utmost importance to companies. Companies no longer have the luxury of having huge capital budgets to spend on projects, solutions, or training of their staff. Therefore, the ability to provide remote security services to customers by leveraging their existing investments in people, processes and technology through an operational/rental pricing option, provides them with an advantage over their competitors.

Enter Video Surveillance as a Service (VSaaS). VSaaS consists of the following:

• The ability to offer remote security surveillance services using existing investments in technology (CCTV systems, cameras).

• Providing remote monitoring expertise.

• Improving internal processes.

• Allowing companies to white label these offerings using their company brand.

Through the use of an intelligent video management software platform, companies can offer the latest in video content analytics to their customers and provide additional business intelligence in terms of their business, products and customers.

An added advantage of VSaaS for companies is to align expenditures with revenue generated from new customers and services, using economies of scale to reduce ongoing costs.
