Ringing in the changes

March 2003 News & Events

Change is inevitable. We all know that - just ask the South African cricket team where, after a mediocre performance in the Cricket World Cup, the powers that be have already started ringing the changes. In many sectors this has sparked an outcry. Personally, I believe change is good if the intention is to yield positive results.

A positive change it was too for the organisers of Securex when they made the decision to move the exhibition to a new venue. Indeed, there was always an element of risk associated with changing the venue of South Africa's premier security exhibition, but Reed Exhibitions Company South Africa has done itself proud with its choice of venue, proactive public relations with exhibitors and visitors and overall organisation of the event. For those who were unable to attend Securex 2003 or simply need a refresher course on the happenings at the exhibition, be sure to take a look at our Securex Review.

Here, we put the spotlight on the technologies and products that made a debut at the show, and take a comprehensive look at the talking points of South Africa's largest security exhibition, including comments from the exhibitors and the organisers.

The winds of change are also sweeping through Hi-Tech Security Solutions with a fresh new layout design for the magazine. The new look maintains the clean, professional look you have come to expect from this publication and complements our well-researched and written feature articles, culminating in a well-balanced read that brings value to our marketers and you, the reader.

As mentioned earlier, change is good if the intentions are good. Therefore, I invite you to comment on Hi-Tech Security Solutions in order for us to continue to serve the industry in the best possible manner. Kindly submit your compliments or criticism about the layout, editorial content and overall presentation of the publication to [email protected], and we will do our best to accommodate your ideas and suggestions.

Till next month
