BetaTrac Telematic Solutions, founded in 2002 focusing on GPS and telematics technologies, has designed its AIMSS (Analytical Intelligent Management Security Solutions) specifically for the security guard patrol industry. Its goal is to assist management in enhancing and streamlining the services rendered.

From the ground up, the initial design of the hardware as a body worn device with built–in panic button, known as eGuard, has advantages. Being part of the uniform, it is highly visible and out of harm’s way. As the device transmits every 30 seconds, 24/7, useful amounts of data processed allow for the production of helpful reporting for guarding service providers, including real-time alerting/notifications and daily autonomous performance reporting.

In the control room, AIMSS allows operators to see live movements of all security guards deployed while also being able to generate manual reports. A web URL for senior management allows them to log in at any time for analysis purposes and an Android app permits instant creation of new patrol routes.

AIMSS has a three-tier auto escalation of any patrol violation in the field and 14 violations attached to a patrol circuit. If a security guard violation comes through, the control room has one hour to rectify the situation. If the condition rolls into a second hour, AIMSS automatically escalates to the next in line, such as an operations manager. That staff member has only one hour to resolve it; if nothing is done a third escalation to senior management occurs with a followed-up report first thing in the morning.

AI (artificial intelligence) technology now enhances the eGuard even further. AIMSS monitors the daily performance reports and if they keep failing, takes action and escalates the observations higher up the management structures. It monitors battery power levels, and sends out autonomous status reports indicating current power conditions prior to dispatch so batteries can be swapped out if overlooked prior to the patrol shift. Health diagnostics allow technical staff to be advised when a device needs attention or a service.

More recently, the company has also developed an early warning solution named RapidScan-CV19 for assisting with COVID-19 alerting on high temperatures of staff, patrons, customers, shoppers, etc. The camera has AI technology and only focuses on the forehead of the person approaching the checkpoint. A security guard stationed at the checkpoint has a 32-inch monitor to see the precise information by live broadcast.
