New smart alarm solution with video verification

Issue 5 2020 News & Events

IDS has released the 806, a new 8-zone alarm solution based on 20 years of experience and over 1,5 million IDS805 installations.

The IDS805 began the legacy by developing the reputation for being the most trusted, reliable and user-friendly 8-zone solution in the market. Now the 806 continues the legacy as the latest generation smart alarm system designed for small homes and businesses.

The 806 is reliable, feature rich, user friendly as well as exceptional value for money. Using the tried and tested user and installer interfaces of the original 805 makes for quick and easy implementation for sales departments, installers and users alike. The 806 now comes standard with a HYYP GSM module, providing users with full system app control, push notifications as well as monitoring centre communication.

The 806 also has the option to connect the most comprehensive range of OPTEX Xwave wireless sensors, as well as versatile transmitters and receivers for system control and automation. Other key enhancements are the new robust plastic enclosure, making for a greater installation experience, new icon-based keypad, and 1000-event log.

In addition to the alarm and automation control for the 806, the HYYP app now supports video verification. All that’s needed is any HYYP communicator connected to your IDS alarm panel and any Dahua P2P DVR/NVR installed. Users can then retrieve a 20-second video feed (10 seconds pre-alarm, 10 seconds post alarm) by simply tapping the camera icon in the notifications screen.

To configure the system, simply scan the QR code and link alarm zones to video channels. When the alarm activates, the pre and post alarm video feed will be available via the HYYP app. For installers, there is no additional cabling as all linking between HYYP and the Dahua DVR/NVR is done automatically by the server.
