Alltech offers cost-effective turnkey solutions

February 2003 Access Control & Identity Management

Rising to the challenge of crime prevention and reduction in the mid eighties, Alltech, then known as APD, proceeded in manufacturing of parking equipment, turnstiles and a wide range of high security barriers.

Despite the change in name, Alltech is still owned and managed by its founder, Johan Wernich, at its original premises in Booysens. The company is today considered to be a leading manufacturer and supplier of locally manufactured parking and traffic control equipment, not only in this country, but internationally, exporting to countries throughout Africa and Europe.

Holding a considerable market share locally, Alltech is supplying clients with export quality products at a cost effective price. Furthermore, its large dealership network provides a comprehensive coverage in the industry. The company offers turnkey solutions from the conception and design, through to manufacturing and distribution, and with over 5000 successful installations worldwide, its strong export initiative helps the growth of the company.

Alltech's latest addition to its range of security barriers is the high security 'Grippa' barrier which has turned out to be in high demand in the mining and commercial industries. It has been designed for use in high security vehicle control applications such as bank entrances, mines, cash delivery/collection points, casinos, etc.
