Vision catcher introduces new products

June 2000 Surveillance

Vision Catcher has introduced a number of new products, according to its MD Niall Beazley. These new products and upgrades in its interactive security management systems offer users digital monitoring with full remote capabilities at the touch of a button.

VC 2000

Just launched, and fully TCP/IP and Internet enabled, the VC 2000 has been designed to operate with Windows 2000 and Windows NT 4.0. Says Beazley, "The VC 2000 caters for 16 cameras, each card boasts four inputs with the ability to stack four cards, each running at 25 frames/s." It also offers PTZ and audio capability on the server.

VC PCI

Adds Beazley, "The VC PCI arrived in March and is available for Windows 95 and Windows 98. It boasts four inputs, runs at 25 frames/s and with each picture set at 640 x 480 pixels (16 million colours), image quality is fantastic."

"The VC PCI also offers full motion detection and alarm triggers. Compression is excellent and 24 h of continuous recording can be stored on a drive of only 5 GB capacity," he says.

FleetVu

"We are in final testing of a simple and easy to use fleet monitoring system with the ability to record for prolonged periods as well as offering alarm trigger and live dial-in capability. FleetVu will be introduced to the market place shortly," he says.

Larger systems and multiplexers

"Vision Catcher can supply systems for 32 and 64 cameras installations. We have duplex multiplexers supporting up to 64 cameras, with 16 videos simultaneously on one screen. Set at 720 x 576 pixels and alternating four groups of 16 videos inputs (16 million colours), VC systems really do cater for almost all CCTV applications," he says.
