D4 offers increased storage capacity

Dedicated Micros has increased the storage capabilities of its D4 digital multiplex recorder range, with the launch of the 4-camera 320 GB model.

Aimed at banks, forecourts and small retail outlets, the new 320 GB D4 now offers two months recording using standard settings. In addition, warranty cover for the D4 and all other DM digital products, including the hard drives, has now been increased to two years.

This latest unit has the same high specification as other models in the D4 range including remote viewing, digitally signed images, live quad display, CDR compatibility, audio recording and IR remote control.

Using network remote support software the installer can connect to the D4 in a password protected admin mode that allows direct access to the menus. System adjustments can then be made remotely over the network, such as changing the record rate, set-up of the activity grid and program presets.

Other features include GOTO and event preview facilities, built-in activity detection, up to five e-mail notifications on alarm, and simultaneous record, playback, background image archiving, multiple user network viewing and playback with no loss of performance.
