Floor-Max system offers wider antenna

July 2002 Asset Management

Sensormatic's Digital Floor-Max detection system is an improvement on the Floor-Max III system by providing a larger antenna and a new, advanced digital controller. The digital antenna produces a wider detection field able to cover exits with fewer antennas while the Digital 216 Controller enables better detection performance and numerous service benefits.

Features include:

* Performance improvements. The Digital 216 Controller uses digital signal processing (DSP) technology to more accurately identify Ultra•Max tags and labels in all types of store environments.

* Open system architecture solution. Digital Floor-Max can be used with pedestals, auxiliary antennas, and the Off-Grade Floor-Max Metal Shield to meet a variety of installation and customer requirements.

* Auto phasing. The new systems will adjust automatically to the electronic environment to enhance pick performance and reduce the need for service calls.

Digital Floor-Max will appeal to retailers wanting a 100% concealed EAS detection system. These retailers will include mall retailers, home centres, DIY and garden shops.
