LG Electronics has announced a major drive to launch its next generation of digital security systems (CCTV, DVR).

The company, a well-known brand name has realised that it has the potential to enter the local security market through the introduction of the new generation of CCTV and DVR.

Thomas Kim, marketing manager of LG's Security Division (Korea) says: "we highly value the market size in South Africa and we realise the fierce competition between branded and unbranded security products, but our entry to this market is done through introduction of new technology and innovative products of CCTVs and DVRs.

"Some products specifications match others but in others we have the edge of more improvements and versatility, while maintaining very competitive prices. LG has successfully established itself in the SA consumer market and is planning to do the same in the security market as well."

The range of products includes the Secu-Station Deluxe, which is Windows 2000 based and features, various recording modes, pre-alarm recording, video loss detection and emergency transfer.

LG Security Products are distributed locally by TelBit Electronics.
