Remote access control

Expert System Solutions is a turnkey security system supplier and integrator for remote security solutions. Its remote access control system is based on a central access control computer (ACC) and many responder access control units (RACS).

The RACS are controlled via a national radio network, covering about 75% of South Africa. High level of security is an integral part of the entire access control system, thereby making the system suitable for assets protection, banking security, utility companies, military etc. The central computer contains all the validation records, therefore access to a building can only be granted on a valid identification (tag), valid building, valid time and day.

Once a tag has been inserted in the tag reader, the RACS will send a request via the communication network to the access control computer (ACC). The ACC will authenticate the user name, carrying the tag identification, building address and time/date information. If all valid the ACC will grant access to the tag holder to that specific building and records the entry for archiving purposes. The ACC manager can easily perform changes to the access rights. The system also allows for SMS notifications to cellular phones to inform supervisors on specific access events.

The entire system is designed and manufactured in South Africa.
