Aritech introduces new surveillance system

March/April 2002 Surveillance

Aritech has released CyberDome - a versatile, integrated dome surveillance system that comes equipped with a high-resolution auto-focus camera, a pan-and-tilt assembly with a built-in receiver, and a compact, discreet housing.

CyberDome provides a full 360° of surveillance and the ability to pan, tilt and zoom quickly to any object or area. Of particular interest is the fact that CyberDome is designed to let one build a camera system to suit one's own requirements. Cyberdome may be customised by simple process of choosing the best features for each application, viz:

q Camera: from the Select 18X to the Day-Nite 25X. The day-nite switches automatically between colour mode for daytime use and a more sensitive monochrome mode for nighttime. With 25X optical and 12X digital zoom, the day-nite 25X provides 300X total zoom.

* Housing: from flushmount to the PressurDome. Most are available with a heater and fan to provide reliable operation in subfreezing temperatures.

* Dome: from clear, smoke, bronze and chrome- or gold-mirrored dome. Polycarbonate clear and smoke domes are available for heavy-duty housings.

* Video transmission method: both coaxial cable or twisted-pair video transmission are available. CyberDome's integrated twisted pair transmission module allows one to transmit video up to 3000 feet.

Every CyberDome is a small surveillance system. Inside is a high-resolution auto-focus camera, a pan-tilt assembly that enables the camera to rotate a full 360 degrees, and a receiver that lets one control the CyberDome from a remote keypad or computer interface.

Reduced manual operation

CyberDome can memorise four minutes of manual operation. One can rotate the camera, move it up and down and zoom in on important areas along the way, save this ShadowTour and call it up at any time or instruct the CyberDome to repeat the tour over and over. One can also assign titles to preset positions and zones.
