Secutel partners with Matrix Comsec

March 2019 News & Events, Surveillance, Access Control & Identity Management

Secutel Technologies announced it is the exclusive distributor of Matrix Comsec access control products and IP video management software in South Africa.

Established in 1991, around 40% of Matrix’s human resources are dedicated to the development of new products. Matrix has launched products like video management software, network video recorders, IP cameras, access control and time-attendance systems as well as telecom solutions such as unified communications, IP-PBX, universal gateways, VoIP and GSM gateways and communication endpoints.

Danny Pringle, executive director at Secutel says, “We look forward to work with them as our partners in South Africa and we are delighted to add the Matrix access control and proprietary video management products to complement our current solution offering of physical security related technology solutions.”

The Matrix R&D and manufacturing facility is based in India and is spread over an area of almost 7000 m². The R&D team designs products conforming to the relevant international standards.

According to Secutel, the partnership with Matrix provides new opportunities to the South African market and the company believes that local security installers and resellers will now have a more sustainable solution with local support from its nine offices countrywide.

Secutel will be doing road shows during March 2019 to launch this new relationship in the South African installer/reseller marketplace and will also display and demonstrate the Matrix products at Securex in Johannesburg in May 2019.
