Face-recognition outdoor station

1 November 2018 Access Control & Identity Management, Products & Solutions

The apartment outdoor station elevates the safety and convenience of residential security systems with non-touch face-recognition entry, while conventional unlocking processes are preserved in case of emergency.

The product’s working temperature is between -20°C to 60°C, meaning it can operate smoothly across a variety of weather conditions and geographical areas. With a shell made of aluminium alloy plate, it meets the IP55 standard for water and dust resistance, and the IK07 standard for impact resistance. Further enhanced by an intrusion prevention system, the product offers ingress protection to property owners and facilitates the work of security guards.

Once a person steps within the 0.5 metre distance of the device, it triggers an approaching induction process. The 2 MP CMOS image sensor will capture the face in high-definition colour for identification. In as little as 0.5 seconds, it can complete recognition and open the door for residents. With capacity to store up to 20 000 faces, the system would meet the demand of large housing estates or commercial lots. The Auto Gain Control supplements white light to cope with poorly lit conditions, enabling night vision for the outdoor station.

The system is also equipped with a Mifare card reader, fingerprint recognition (with a memory of 3000 fingerprints), and touch screen keypad, which provides multiple unlocking options via card, fingerprint and password. The Master Station can also forward images to mobile devices and owners can use the remote unlock function while away from home. Additionally, the audio system supports bidirectional talk, which assists visitors and owners in dual-way communication as an auxiliary to face identification.
