Active Track improvements

1 November 2018 Security Services & Risk Management, Products & Solutions

Active Track has actioned major changes to its devices, the software and range of reports available. The guard monitoring device provider has increased its customer base by 25% in 2018 and is now the largest guard monitoring device provider in South Africa.

The device boasts a battery life of up to 72 hours and can be charged intermittently, unlike other devices which require an undisturbed charge. The GPS functionality has been upgraded to the latest software to allow for an improved customer experience. The software, support, swop out, alerts and SMS costs remain included in the rental cost.

Active Track has also introduced a non-GPS Active Track device to offer customers a cost-efficient alternative where GPS is not essential to their operations.

The company has developed first-class management reports which are available for download by the customers at any time, the cost of which is included in the rental. This was actioned in response to customers’ calls for a more particular management tool.

Active Track has upgraded its data centre security to reduce loss of connectivity events, further limit the risk of cyber-attacks, and allow for a secure user experience with no threat to customers’ data being accessed or compromised by third parties.
