Soteria Dimension

The new Soteria Dimension is a range of sleek, flat optical fire detectors for flush mounting, that provides architects, system designers, specifiers and installers with an alternative to traditional fire detection devices.

The innovative design differs from standard fire detectors, having no chamber and being flush-mounted. These devices use new optical sensing technology in a ‘virtual sensing chamber’. A combination of infrared (IR) LEDs and photo-diodes identify smoke particles, detected just below the detector housing and initiates an alarm.

Dimension communicates using Apollo’s new CoreProtocol but is also backwards compatible with Apollo XP95 and Discovery systems, so you can add Dimension to existing installations.

The low profile range offers a commercial detector designed for environments with high aesthetic requirements, as well as an industrial detector option. The latter features an anti-ligature metal faceplate and tamper-resistant screws, making it ideal for prison, custodial and care environments. Both detectors are flush-mounted with the Soteria Dimension Mounting Box, moulded from white flame-retardant polycarbonate.
