An average person probably believes surveillance systems are primarily a forensic tool to be consulted after a problem or incident occurs. You largely have to agree, because whether a site has 20 or 2000 cameras, or if it employs one or a dozen operators, the live video stream is effectively background noise to the newspaper, smartphone, or any other thing happening.
This article, however, is not here to debate the things we can see, but to shed light on the less visible changes that are happening under the hood in the ‘brain’ of your surveillance system, the computer.
To fully harness the power of any system, you first need its human interface. That is why Avigilon has launched a new version of its Avigilon Control Centre (ACC) 6. These video clips can easily be protected from being overwritten and can be exported for further investigation. Avigilon Appearance Search technology enables operators to be more efficient by reducing response times to on-site events.
