ZKTeco supports Kingdom Projects

September 2017 Editor's Choice, News & Events

Women play a major role in our societies today, from being mothers, housekeepers, doctors, teachers etc., but sadly some women still experience brutal abuse from loved ones and strangers.

Kingdom Projects is a non-profit organisation that aims to establish social development programmes in communities for the less fortunate. Some of the projects range from farming and feeding schemes, providing temporary shelters for homeless people and supporting families of offenders, the elderly and orphans.

The organisation’s daily operational ministry in the communities of Hartbeespoort and Kameeldrift-west are to debrief, counsel and support victims of crime from the Victim Empowerment Centre at the Hartbeespoort SAPS. They mainly work with victims of domestic violence and sexual abuse. The organisation regularly needs to keep a supply of toiletries for the men and woman, as well as blankets and a team of volunteer counsellors who support victims of crime.

The organisation currently has approximately 50 people benefiting weekly from the services of this ministry. They do the ground work of buying or picking up food, driving to the person/family in need, delivering the resources, and building relationships to support such families. This ministry does not have any permanent sponsors. They are completely relying on monetary sponsors as and when people or companies feel the need to donate.

As part of its social responsibility projects, ZKTeco South Africa decided to treat the women from this centre and their children to a wonderful day where they got the opportunity to enjoy a three-course meal, share their stories and had their kids enjoy a day filled with fun. ZKTeco has donated various things needed by the organisation and will continue its support towards building a sustainable community.
