Panasonic's new WV-CL920 surveillance camera has replaced the formerly separate 1/2"-type colour and 1/2"-type black-and-white surveillance cameras. The new model offers a range of features, including:
* 1/2"-type interline transfer CCD with infrared sensitivity.
* Switching between selected colour mode and black-and-white mode, either automatically or manually.
* High resolution (480-line in colour mode; 570-line in black-and-white mode).
* Built-in digital signal processing LSIs, motion detector and alphanumeric character display.
* Electronic sensitivity enhancement (up to 32x in automatic mode and 64x manual).
"The WV-CL920 is a super-sensitive, ultra-sophisticated camera," says Mags Anthony, Director Panasonic CCVE Systems Department. "It has enormous potential in high security environments where close attention to detail is paramount - such as mines, banks, parking lots and town centres - and as a bonus it is priced at a very competitive level."
