Vicon's Surveyor 2000 dome cameras have recently been added to the CCTV system installed at the Brussels Exhibition Centre. The exhibition centre already uses Vicon's V1344 matrix and dome systems.
A centrepiece of the Brussels Expo complex is the world-famous Atomium with its nine spheres, created to celebrate the staging of the World Fair in Brussels.
The Vicon Surveyor dome cameras are being used in an entrance area which serves both the exhibition halls and the conference rooms at Brussels Expo. The hall forms a southwestern extension to the complex and is situated near the underground station.
The Surveyor domes feature three-phase micro-stepping motors and a proprietary software driver which delivers smooth and silent operation through the entire range of speeds from 0,25°/s to 300°/s. The units have self-learn tours which simplify programming and allow for in-sequence editing and reverse touring.
