Dedicated Micros recently introduced its new entry-level 4 camera digital multiplex recorder suitable for small applications. The Digital 4 combines digital video multiplexing, digital recording and audio recording in one easy-to-use and install package.
Aimed at CCTV installers who are currently using the analog/video tape option for smaller applications, Digital 4 gives standalone businesses such as shops, banks and post offices access to the power of the latest digital CCTV technology. Installation is made easy with automatic set-up and camera detect features, and because it is designed with a familiar multiplexer front control panel, operator training is kept to a minimum.
The Digital 4 is available with either 40 or 160 GB on-board hard disk recording, storing up to one month of images to disk on the 160 GB model. The user can also monitor live and recorded images remotely using a standard modem and telephone line.
