Came BPT launches new products in SA

August 2016 Access Control & Identity Management, Perimeter Security, Alarms & Intruder Detection

Came BPT, the South African subsidiary of the Came Group, recently introduced new products at a series of launch events across the country. Held in Johannesburg, Durban and Cape Town during July, the events were hosted by Came BTP’s managing director, Riccardo Battaini, and enjoyed the participation of overseas executives James Bostock (Came business development director) and Gareth Harris (Came BPT UK marketing manager) as a sign of commitment to the South African market.

The events gave visitors exposure to new products within a relaxed environment and interaction with product personnel with detailed knowledge. Among the items launched were a completely new range of products, a new Came catalogue and also a new full IP BPT intercom system, the first of this kind.

Highlights of the solutions launched at the events included a new range of sliding gate motors incorporating Power Start technology with speed, thrust and huge battery operational capacity specifically designed for the challenging South African environment where load shedding is a reality. Also new is a range of swing gate motors designed for the SA market, with easy-to-install and program control panels.

Bringing it all together is Came Connect, a cloud platform that enables remote control of all operators fitted on a system, from anywhere in the world. It can operate via GSM and Ethernet, and is compatible with Came and BPT systems. Solutions are also available to allow other systems to be connected via the Came Connect platform.

The new BPT IP360 system is a full IP video intercom with PoE entry panels. Thanks to Came Connect, this system can also be managed and used from anywhere, using a device connected to the Internet. Finally, attendees were introduced to a new range of contractor and premium traffic barriers.

An important aspect highlighted during the presentations is that the acquisition of the branch in South Africa is a clear demonstration of Came’s interest in the country. “The further development of systems and products specifically designed for South Africa indicates clearly that Came intends to become a reference point for all the actors involved in this market,” Battaini concludes.
