Genetec, a provider of open-platform, unified IP security solutions, has announced that Brent Cary has joined the company as regional sales manager for the sub-Saharan Africa region. In his new position, Cary will be responsible for developing sales strategies that bring the company’s unified IP security solutions to the growing African market, recruiting and hiring new sales people, and expanding and supporting the company’s network of certified system integrators and channel partners.
A security industry professional with over 13 years of experience, Cary joins Genetec after holding various senior sales positions at international Fortune 100 companies and small-to-medium enterprises in the video management systems (VMS) and access control industry within South Africa. He holds a degree in Business Science from William Carey University Gulfport, Mississippi, USA, and a Bachelor of Commerce degree, specialising in marketing from the University of South Africa (UNISA).
