FLIR adds VMS platform

March 2016 Surveillance, Products & Solutions

With the recent acquisition of DVTEL, FLIR Systems has added an innovative video management system (VMS) platform to its security solutions portfolio. The United VMS 7.0 platform from DVTEL has been designed for corporations and organisations in all scales from entry-level to enterprise-grade.

United VMS 7.0 provides global unified network topology, allowing users to connect multiple sites and systems using Latitude, Horizon, and Meridian to an aggregated system that can be controlled and monitored from a single location. DVTEL’s open-standard, network-based VMS solutions offer the most user-friendly operation available today and can be tailored to any need, from small commercial to enterprise-grade applications.

Latitude an enterprise-level IP surveillance system with forensic-quality imaging and user-friendly operations consisting of dedicated web-based and mobile client software. Latitude is a powerful VMS for organisations of all sizes. Its scalable architecture can efficiently support systems of any size or architecture and be implemented throughout enterprises, across multiple sites, cities, and continents.

The Horizon NVR delivers performance, stability, and unique price positioning for video installations requiring up to 100 cameras. Horizon is an ideal choice for securing high-performance small-to-medium sized business video installations with independent or multiple sites.

The Meridian NVR is an enterprise grade, off-the-shelf, cost-effective, plug-and-play video surveillance system for security installations requiring up to 24 cameras. The system includes a network video recorder with 2 TB or 4 TB of raw storage, video management software that is pre-configured and works out-of-the box.

The United VMS 7.0 platform offers swift video operations management and control. The newly added EZ Client web interface delivers remote access to Latitude, Horizon, and Meridian, enabling system control from any location. With its lightweight and sleek design, EZ Client is simple and intuitive. It is also optimised for touch functionality and allows easy and rapid access to the system through a web browser, without requiring any preinstalled software on the client machine.

United 7.0 also offers the new IP-mmune Cyber Defense Suite, which addresses one of the biggest concerns in the physical security industry today, and probably the greatest danger for corporate IT networks: the threats of cyber vulnerability exploitation. IP-mmune uses a multi-layered protection approach designed to ensure that DVTEL’s video surveillance solutions are sealing IT corporate grids from cyber breaches through IP video networks.
