New smart thermal cameras

February 2016 Surveillance, Products & Solutions

Dahua Technology has introduced a smart thermal camera series to provide advanced features for perimeter, the electric industry, and manufacturers of security applications. The camera series is designed to find heat sources and is able to offer highly detailed images and features an extensive feature set.

The new smart thermal network camera family includes a thermal hybrid PTZ camera, a hybrid speed dome camera, thermal bullet cameras and thermal dome cameras, all equipped with a variety of smart functions. The sensor is capable of detecting tiny differences in temperature.

The cameras combined intelligence, efficiency and high performance such as smart detection, smart analyse, smart perception, smart tracking and smart control. They can precisely determine object temperature and the temperature distribution even on small and fast moving objects. The cameras are excellent for detecting water leaks behind walls, a person hidden in the bushes at night, or identify passengers with a fever passing through a checkpoint.

The thermal hybrid network PTZ camera is a combination of a visual camera with integrated optical zoom lens (max 40X) and a thermal camera synchronised in pan and tilt movements. The network camera can capture images in full scale without the need to step back or frame the shot. The thermal camera is for when night-vision or precise thermographic surveys are required. The special lens focuses the infrared light emitted by all of the objects in view. It can deliver several independent H.264 streams for different quality needs and bandwidth constraints simultaneously.

Dahua also provides the software and accessories, including smart PSS, NVR and DMSS which work together to meet the individual requirements.
