CathexisVision integrated with Gallagher

August 2015 News & Events, Surveillance, Access Control & Identity Management

CathexisVision Video Surveillance Management software is now fully integrated with the Gallagher Command Centre, providing complete fence monitoring and access control integration.

“With more customers demanding integrated security solutions to provide enhanced and intelligent security systems, this integration facilitates the activation of pre-defined CathexisVision events, based on triggers received from the Gallagher system,” says Gus Brecher, managing director of Cathexis Africa. “This offers more efficient control room operation where operators can immediately verify the cause of an alarm and initiate the appropriate action.”

This integration provides the following capabilities:

Immediate control room actions (including: video switching, PTZ control, emailing etc.), upon events received from the Gallagher Command Centre.

• Interactive map interface.

• Database storage of Command Centre events and associated cameras for SMART, high speed forensic analysis.

• Greatly enhanced control room efficiency and effectiveness.

CathexisVision is a Video Management Solution. The CathexisVision integration capabilities include: access control, alarm panels, analytics, fire panels, environmental monitoring systems, fence monitoring systems, licence plate recognition, and much more. CathexisVision also has its own, powerful analytics feature, available on all levels of CathexisVision software.

Cathexis also announced that the winner of the Securex South Africa Win-a-Harley Competition has been reunited with his latest prized possession, a brand new CathexisVision branded Street 750 Harley Davidson Motorcycle.

For each of the three days of Securex (12-14 May 2015), 100 pre-registered visitors were given the opportunity to roll the dice to spell the word VISION. By the final day of Securex, there were 11 correct entries, ready to be entered into the grand prize draw.

Cobus Myburgh from the Department of Correctional Services was one of the first entrants to roll the dice on the Cathexis stand at Securex South Africa.

Cobus, together with his wife, Ingrid and son, Jacques – joined Cathexis Technologies at the Clearwater Harley-Davidson branch in Johannesburg during June to officially claim his prize. So at 1pm Cobus turned on the ignition to hear that unique Harley sound and drove his shiny new toy off the showroom floor to the sound bells and applause from the crowd.
