MiRO’s training receiving great reception

1 July 2015 Products & Solutions, Conferences & Events

Wireless IP convergence company MiRO is receiving extremely positive feedback from customers who have attended its free IP-CON training programme this year. Only four months into the gruelling schedule, the company has completed six events throughout a number of major centres in the country as well as in Botswana.

IP-CON leverages the convergence of all IP technology – wireless, VoIP and video – and how it all works together to create new opportunities in the wireless/IP industry. According to Jan Keyser, CTO at MiRO, attendance has been excellent. “We have met with a number of existing and potential customers who have had limited previous exposure to our product range. The opportunity to receive first-hand information on current technology trends and to see practical demonstrations of the products, is critical to a better understanding of what solutions work best in specific applications.”

Each event comprises two hands-on, interactive sessions in each of the major centres and based on the demand for the training, the company has added a third, Webinar-based session for those delegates who are unable to attend the live sessions.

Feedback from attending customers has been very positive and forms the basis of constant refinement of the programme. After the Durban event, David Sutton of Dave Sutton Electronics says that he was impressed with the excellent product knowledge exhibited by the training providers while Donovan Shanmoogam of DDR Computers says: “The trainer had an extensive product knowledge and was able to assist with wireless convergence problems encountered by the attendees.”

The Gaborone event in Botswana was packed to capacity and received rave reviews from attendees. Logan Holmera of AE Support comments: “The session took a diverse and interesting look at the integration of products. I was sorry it had to come to an end.” Mepati Dube of Comsoft was particularly impressed with the informative and interactive nature of the training. Christopher Kuteeue from Outsource IT adds: “The event provided great elaboration on the products and their features.” Both Kematose Dichabeng of Comsoft and Patrick Jansen of Trucom agreed that the training was of an excellent standard.

The remaining training sessions will continue to bring further products, including the company’s CCTV surveillance offerings from Vivotek and Sunell, Milestone and NUUO open platform and video recording solutions, as well as VoIP, networking and Wi-Fi to the table. “Essentially we want to share our own knowledge with our customers and we will be leveraging a number of successful case studies to emphasise the advantages of correct planning and implementation,” Keyser adds.
