TeleEye introduces analogue HD

June 2015 Surveillance

TeleEye has unveiled a new series of Analogue HD cameras and recorders, the TeleEye JN500 Series of 4, 8 and 16 channel DVRs. As users’ expectations and requirements for a comprehensive security solution with high definition imagery become more demanding, older surveillance systems are being upgraded and replaced.

TeleEye AHD solution provides users the simplest way to upgrade existing analogue systems from standard to high definition quality. These AHD products not only inherit and carry forward the advantages of traditional analogue systems, but the video quality is also enhanced to 720p resolution.

In general, when users initially adopt a SD surveillance system and then decide to switch to HD at a later point in time, the entire system usually needs to be replaced. This not only generates higher costs, but also causes inconvenience and delays to current surveillance operations. With TeleEye AHD solutions, there is no need to uproot the wiring of your current SD system or a new IP setup. Users can continue to use their existing coaxial cables.

All that is required in order to upgrade from SD to HD is to replace the existing cameras and DVRs with the new products from TeleEye’s AHD solution. These cameras and DVRs are not only capable of backward compatibility, but also have seamless compatibility with standard analogue equipment.

Long reach, noise immunity

IP cameras are based on open standards; therefore their functionality relies on the Internet connectivity and transmission. This may lead to the loss of information if the Internet is not stable. However, TeleEye AHD systems use point-to-point transmission to secure smooth and reliable image quality. TeleEye AHD cameras can obtain a long-distance HD video transmission through a coaxial cable of up to 400 m, while IP cameras can only transmit to approximately 100 m and will also experience unavoidable interference.

In this case, these TeleEye AHD cameras and DVRs can provide users with a solution that will allow them to monitor to a much greater distance, with videos that have impeccable quality and zero noise. In comparison to traditional analogue products, TeleEye AHD products transmit images at a superior quality.

Zero video latency

For absolute accuracy during video surveillance monitoring, it is crucial that there are no delays throughout the CCTV footage. With TeleEye AHD solutions, the front-end data does not require any form of coding compression for real-time results and high fidelity, so there are no broken footages or delay in results. The most precise performance is ensured, meaning operators do not miss out on any details during surveillance, triggers prompt actions and the footages captured may be used as supporting evidence to assist in investigations if necessary.
