General manager of Sunell, Ann Wu said, “In such a highly competitive market, it is a great honour to win such prominent awards. Our core focus has always been to provide the local and international market with innovative, highly reliable, quality products and superior services. We aim to create consistently greater value for our customers thereby increasing our market share. We have invested considerably in R&D in order to achieve these goals. These awards recognise the realisation of some of these objectives but we will continue to work tirelessly to become the best in our industry.”

Marketing director of Sunell, Yu Quan stated that, “The exhibition gave Sunell a great opportunity to network with new and existing clients. It gave the brand and all our new products exposure to the over 150 000 visitors that came to the show. We were able to showcase our new developments and various industry solution offerings with the live demonstrations of products on the stand.”

Some of the new Sunell products that were featured at the show were the infrared thermal imaging cameras, home video cameras, PTZ dome and the complete Majestic S2 range. Sunell also featured their NVR solutions as well as their advanced analytics software, InView. Here is an overview of some of the trending technologies from Sunell for 2015:

Majestic Series: S2

As you entered the Sunell stand, you were greeted by one of the unique features on its stand which was a 3D model of the world. This 3D model of earth encased the Majestic S2 range. The Majestic series of products covers the full collection of 2-8 megapixel cameras, including the box camera, IR bullet camera, dome camera, fisheye camera and Majestic full series of dome cameras.

Majestic series products are the first dual-core powerful coding platform in the industry with Triple Light technology, proprietary 3D image processing, on-camera fisheye de-warp and diversified high-accuracy/recognition rate for intelligent analytics. The S2 range has powerful chip processing capacity as it can realise 4K real-time imaging. It has high-efficiency video intelligence analysis algorithms which are combined with Triple Light technology. This largely improves the accuracy of intelligent analytics. The product also has abundant practical functions such as wide dynamic execution, strong light inhibition, 9:16 corridor modelling, ultralow code stream, PWM smart IR, ADC intelligent day/night switching and much more!

InView2.5 Platform

In order to allow visitors to the stand a completely immersive experience, practical and intelligent applications were used to show Sunell’s intelligent analytical capability. This was known as the Experience Zone. Here, Sunell used a series of interactive scenarios so that customers could experience how convenient, efficient and intelligent the InView2.5 integrated monitoring platform system is. These scenarios showcased features such as intelligent access control system integration, POS consumption systems integration and facial recognition analysis systems.

For example, with the aim of showcasing Sunell’s intelligent access control system integration it used the following scenario: Customers were welcomed by an enthusiastic professional hostesses and led into the Sunell supermarket (which was a vivid 3D optical illusion graphic of a supermarket). The access control was then turned on via a wireless transmission platform. Once activated, the guests were warmly greeted by a pleasant automated system saying “Welcome to the Sunell supermarket.”

“The product can provide personalised greetings consequently enabling customers to feel at home,” said Quan. “We focus on such product innovation because we care about the enhancing the user experience.”

Thermal imaging is hot

It is important for thermal cameras to be able to adapt to any lighting environment. Using the latest thermal sensor technology, the Sunell infrared thermal imaging cameras have been designed to remove all atmospherical conditions, such as fog and mist, which effect traditional CCTV surveillance. They cater for thermal distribution for temperature field monitoring, and have a unique thermal state of abnormal diagnostic capabilities and other advantages.

The cameras possess some of the following features: Uncooled IR FPA Micro bolometer; it detects infrared wavelength of 8-14 μm; it has a resolution of 420x315 pixels; heat sensitivity of up to 50 mK; supports 8/15/25/35/50 mm fixed lens options; supports 75 mm/100 mm/150 mm electric zoom lens options; supports colour mode switching: Black Hot/White Heat/Rainbow/iron red colour modes; supports DVE image enhancement functions.

These cameras are perfect for security applications such as logistics operations, warehouse distribution, areas of high foliage like trees/gardens, border crossing, industrial applications for fire, steam, and temperature sensitive environments.
