Mobility with a secure touch

Because users should not have to compromise between the convenience of mobility and security, Morpho (Safran), the world leader in biometric technologies, has launched MorphoTablet, a compact touch screen device that guarantees secure mobile data operations using biometrics (fingerprint and facial recognition) and cryptographic functions.

Integrating Morpho’s leading biometric technology, the innovative tablet comprises a fingerprint reader (FBI PIV IQS certified) and a high-resolution camera to capture and check biometric data. Its secure element and integrated encryption functions provide enhanced security to protect sensitive data and associated transactions.

The Android-based device has been designed to allow full integration by system integrators, enabling them to deliver enterprise level solutions. Because its biometric features are fully backward compatible with any Morpho fingerprint templates, it can be integrated to existing systems, without the need to re-enrol users on a specific site.

It can store up to 5000 users (10 000 fingerprint templates) on board, and manages contactless or contact smartcards as well as NFC chips, SAM Module, 3G / Wi-Fi / Bluetooth connectivity and GPS.
