Product agnostic advisor

January 2015 Residential Estate (Industry), News & Events, Conferences & Events

A great deal of knowledge and experience was shared at the seminar, according to Glenn Allen. He adds that the event allowed Enforce to reinforce and expand its relationship with existing clients. A large player in the KZN residential estate security installation sector, Enforce has a number of successful sites throughout the province. Another benefit accrued from the event was the ability for manufacturers and suppliers to grow their brands by demonstrating them to the visiting estate managers.

Residential estate managers share common issues, a fact that was very apparent at the seminar. He highlights the problem experienced when tenants will not abide by the rules and regulations of the estate. Speaker Vagn Nielsen explained that because a contract is signed by all parties – the body corporate, the owner of the house and the tenant, there is legal acceptance of the estate’s rules and regulations. Where there is infringement of these rules, two warnings will succeed an eviction.

Allen says that Enforce is product agnostic but will specify trusted brands that match specific applications. The decision to install specific solutions is based on extensive experience gained in the residential estate sector in KZN and works to the benefit of the estate owner and the property owners. He adds that for estates where quality is a predominant factor, Enforce will often install Bosch cameras and the Cathexis video management system (VMS).

He mentions that while thermal imaging cameras are often popular in the flatter landscape of other provinces, with KZN’s rolling hills it is often not the first choice although there are sites, such as Zimbali 2 and Le Domaine that do deploy thermal imaging technology.

Enforce offers a turnkey solution for residential estates which includes the risk assessment; design and installation of the system, including surveillance cameras, LPR cameras, fire and voice evacuations, booms, gates, biometric readers, fencing and turnstiles; installation of networking cables; remote monitoring; control room design; investigations; guarding and the company’s own reporting software.
