Honeywell has completed the acquisition of C&K Systems, a well-known global player in the residential and commercial security products business. Honeywell expects the acquisition will enhance the company's position in this fast-growing market. C&K Systems operations are expected to make a positive contribution to Honeywell earnings in 1999, Honeywell management said.
With headquarters in Folsom, California, C&K Systems sells its products in 61 countries through a broad network of distribution and installation partners. The privately owned company has more than 1700 employees at 12 locations worldwide, including more than 1300 at its manufacturing facility in Shenzhen, China.
C&K System's security products include technologically advanced sensors, a new line of control panels, radio frequency (RF) applications, and innovative closed-circuit television systems. Honeywell's security offerings include a complete integrated building security platform; home security systems; a complete offering of access control panels; cards and readers; and time-and-attendance systems for small and large commercial buildings.
Plans call for the C&K Systems operations to be part of Honeywell's Security Products, within the home and building control business. Terms of the purchase were not disclosed.
