Three decades of security service

October 2014 Integrated Solutions

Card Control Systems was established in 1983 and specialises in access control, alarm monitoring, CCTV, intercom, parking control, time recording and security systems, including glass and aluminium booths (cubicles) and turnstiles. The company is an approved supplier and installer for some of the leading brands in the security industry, including Softcon, Impro, Reditron, Frank Street, Hikvision, Alltech, Boom Gate, Aiphone, BPT, Sagem, GSC, HID and Motorola.

Still owned by the original founders, Card Control Systems today employs around 30 staff members who have extensive experience in designing and installing security solutions. The founders themselves are hands-on and boast over half a century of experience in the design, manufacture and installation of both networked and standalone access control, closed circuit television solutions, as well as complex security system integration projects.

With the skills it has on board, Card Control Systems’ customers are assured that artisans of the highest calibre with a long history of installing and maintaining security equipment and systems are at their service and that the end result will reflect the standards the company has set over many years in the security business.

Some of the access and identity technologies Card Control Systems has experience in installing and supporting include:

* HID’s iCLASS 13,56 MHz read/write contactless smartcard technology that can be used for diverse applications such as access control, biometrics, cashless vending, public transportation, airline ticketing and customer loyalty programmes. The iCLASS card offers contactless read-write smart card technology along with the ability to add a magnetic stripe, bar code, and anti–counterfeiting features including custom artwork or a photo identification directly on the credential.

* MorphoAccess is a fingerprint access device that enhances the security of physical access control. The terminals can be configured in two operating modes, time and attendance or access control. This is a good solution if your system manages both employees who are identified with their fingerprints and visitors who are authorised to enter only after the presentation of a badge or card.

* V-Smart from BioScript is a practical and affordable two-in-one reader that combines the security of Bioscrypt’s finger matching technology with support for MIFARE, iCLASS and DESFire contactless smartcards. Offering one-to-one biometric template authentication, the V-Smart reader provides traditional access control customers fast throughput and individual privacy.

* The HDP5000 from Fargo is a card printer offering image quality and printer reliability, as well as affordability.

Taking access control to the perimeter, Card Control Systems also has a range of vehicle barrier equipment to control entry and exit to locations.

When it comes to surveillance, Card Control Systems again has many years of experience in installing solutions to meet its clients’ specific needs. Whether it’s the hardware or software components of CCTV projects, the company is able to offer solutions from brand leaders such as: Indigovision, Samsung, Vista, Vivotek, Hikvision, NUUO, AVTech and Augen.

Card Control Systems also supplies, installs and supports fire detection and prevention accessories to assist clients in ensuring the safety of their business environments and staff members.
