Samsung CCTV now available from Reditron

October 2001 Surveillance

Reditron recently launched the complete Samsung Techwin CCTV range. Available from this range are colour, monochrome and fixed dome cameras. Models SAD-129 and SAD-229 are used in covert applications and with their well-designed exterior appearance are used in more aesthetically sensitive areas.

The fixed cameras include medium and high-resolution monochrome and colour cameras. With features like selective electronic shutter control (VIDEO/DC/ESC), line lock and BLC (back light compensation) they can be used for both indoor and outdoor applications. The cameras are available in the following voltages 12 V d.c., 24 V a.c. and 230 V a.c.

Samsung also offers the SPD-1600P, a 1/4" high-speed dome camera with 480 horizontal lines resolution with build in zoom lens, low speed shutter function, motion detection, mirror function and freeze function with 64 presets and auto focus. The auto dome can be controlled with the SCC-1600 high-speed dome controller with 64 preset positions, auto sequence, auto pan and 16 channel alarm input.

Accessories

To complement the cameras there are lenses available in the manual, direct drive and auto iris formats as well as standard varifocal lenses from 3,5-8 mm with an additional 6,0-12 mm manual iris (manual zoom). Also available is the 8,5-68,0 mm auto iris, motorised zoom lens.

The Samsung head end equipment include the new SMD-910P, SMD-1610P 9 and 16-channel colour duplex multiplexer with full duplex multiplexing, high-resolution digital processing, multiscreen processing with optional control via RS232. The equipment also carries a FCC: CE approval. The viewing of the cameras from the multiplexer can be done on the SAM-14M and SAM-21M colour monitors or the SAM-9X and SAM-17C monochrome monitors.

The Samsung VCR range include the STR-960P and STR-24P, a 24 h time lapse recorder and the STR-48P, a 48 h time lapse recorder with features of five record speeds, audio record and playback, record lock function to avoid unintended operation and PC control function (optional). The Samsung REAL TIME VCR range includes SRT-30 and SRT-960.
