Modern look for Elvey’s Greenstone Park branch

May 2014 News & Events

When Elvey Security Technologies planned its new head office and Greenstone Park branch facilities, the designers pulled out all the stops with regard to top-end security and customer friendliness.

These state-of-the-art facilities, known as Elvey Techno Park, are equipped with a number of mod cons including a best practice demonstration area and showroom. The facilities are geared around making the customer experience more satisfying.

Both the Elvey Greenstone Park branch and Pentagon have distinctly separate trade counters. The Elvey and Pentagon branches are fashioned in a futuristic design with Elvey’s customer area sporting electric blue and Pentagon’s customer area in vibrant neon green.

“Each of these customer areas is manned by a separate, dedicated team. The Elvey customer area has a trade counter sales person, a driver/storeman and a sales manager. Pentagon has a trade counter customer sales person who is assisted by the full complement of Pentagon personnel,” says Elvey sales director Ingo Mutinelli.

The main storeroom is situated behind the trade counter for each division and is stocked on an 80/20 principle. “We constantly monitor sales to determine which are the more popular products and we adjust our stockholding and stock levels accordingly. Having the main stores a few metres away is also an advantage to the branch,” adds Mutinelli.

“We have provided full accessibility to the demonstration showroom on the first floor of the building and customers are welcome to walk around and see our products in action at any time,” Mutinelli points out.

In addition, 1 April also marked the opening of Elvey’s Soweto branch. “We recognise that the Soweto market specifically and the black market in general need increased focus and we hope to make further inroads into this area.

“We have appointed a manager who is already a Soweto-based businessman and he will be assisted by two other local residents. They have all attended more than a month of comprehensive training on our systems and products at our West Rand branch, in order to equip them in providing the exemplary customer service we expect of all our employees,” says Mutinelli.

“Finally, we have appointed a new marketing manager – Janet Holfeld – to drive the company forward and further strengthen our existing customer relationships and to increase our footprint going forward,” Mutinelli concludes.
