Pinnacle Africa signed as Samsung Techwin distributor

May 2014 News & Events

Pinnacle Africa has announced it has been appointed as an official distributor of Samsung Techwin’s B2B CCTV products. Pinnacle Africa is an entirely owned subsidiary of the JSE listed Pinnacle Holdings and works in close synergy with the other subsidiaries including AxizWorkgroup, Datanet and Infrasol.

According to Pinnacle Africa MD, Tim Humphreys-Davies, the distribution rights will see Pinnacle bring Samsung’s industry-leading B2B security and surveillance products, including its high-performance premium security solutions, directly to customers through their expansive network of dealers across South Africa.

“The addition of the Samsung Techwin product line to our growing array of products provides us with a unique opportunity to bring this line of surveillance solutions to our dealers who are seeing an increase in the number of requests for security solutions for both consumer and commercial installation products,” Humphreys-Davies said.

He added that augmenting Pinnacle’s current surveillance offering is a very big leap for the company in the security industry, establishing Pinnacle as a major player in the field. Through its own security arm, Pinnsec, the company already distributes a vast range of CCTV products including leading brands such as Bosch and Axis. Other life safety and security solutions such as fire detection, gas suppression, building monitoring and public address systems are also included in their offering.

Humphreys-Davies said that CCTV product manager, Jean Coetzee, will take on the responsibility of heading up the distribution of Samsung Techwin’s products and the first shipment of stock has just arrived.
