Johannesburg-based Thales Advanced Engineering has had a positive response from several leading British and American companies following its representation at IFSEC earlier this year.
The company exhibited its integrated surveillance and access control systems at the exhibition in conjunction with another local company, Controlsoft.
According to Dr Bennie Coetzer, MD of Thales, there was 'a lot of interest' in the superior specifications offered by Thales' Bronte video recording system and the Kronos video management system.
"We are still the only company which can offer 25 frames per second, and many of our international visitors could not believe it when they discovered that a South African company had developed a system capable of achieving these specifications," says Coetzer, adding that Thales has now been asked to tender for a comprehensive digital security system at one of the UK's leading companies. Enquiries have also been received from Austria.
Thales and Controlsoft currently have an agreement in place regarding joint representation in the UK and United States of America.
