TCT celebrates achievements

October 2001 News & Events

Transaction Control Technologies (TCT) had much to celebrate at the recent official opening of the company's new premises in Northcliff. The move to the new premises coincided with another momentous occasion: on 1 August TCT shrugged off its status as a Close Corporation and became a private company. Also, within the same time frame, the company was awarded the highly prestigious ISO 9001:2000 accreditation. The quality management system employed by TCT lays down strict guidelines for 'equipment design, configuration of systems, manufacture, management of manufacture, installation, repair, servicing and stockholding of equipment for access control and theft prevention systems'.

Malcolm Thomas, Managing Director of TCT, says that the company continuously strives for excellence in every area of its operations. "Receiving official recognition for something that has always been an integral part of the company is gratifying." He adds, "Everything just seemed to fall into place - the new building, receiving our ISO 9001:2000 certification and our transition to a private company. We are now, even more than before, ready to assume our role as a leader in the field of theft prevention and access control.

"Establishing a new company in any industry can be daunting and making a breakthrough in the security field can seem like an impossibility," he said. "However, our products have proven to be innovative, reliable and have real operational benefits. If you add to that a dedicated team of professionals who enjoy their work and customers who do not compromise on quality, success seems to be a certainty."

Thomas added, "Our success is underpinned by our vision statement: 'Our purpose is to harness our skills, innovative technology and excellence of service, to delight our customers by providing them with more than just a security solution'."
