Professional outdoor bullet network camera

January 2014 Surveillance

With the race for resolution cooling down around the 5 MP mark, the race to offer cameras that are more feature rich, with higher frame rates and better image quality is heating up. To do this, more powerful and compact processors are being developed to enable these features. Vivotek is leading the charge with the VI-IP8371E, which offers 30 Frames per second at full 3 MP resolution, and 60 fps at 2 MP. These cameras are pretty much at the forefront of what can be achieved with IP cameras today as one of the most well-rounded, feature-rich IP cameras available.

Combine this with the P-Iris motorised lens which allows the camera’s focus and zoom to be adjusted via the click of a button, 30M IR Illuminators, 3D Noise Reduction, an IP67 rated housing, the ability to work in -50 to +50°C temperatures, and built-in SD card support.

Camera features:

* 3 megapixel CMOS sensor.

* 30 fps @ 2048x1536; 60 fps @ 1920x1080.

* 3 motorised, P-iris lens.

* Removable IR-cut filter for day & night function.

* Built-in IR illuminators, effective up to 30 metres.

* Supreme night visibility.

* 3D noise reduction.

* Real-time H.264, MPEG-4, and MJPEG compression.

* -50°C ~ 50°C wide temperature range for extreme weather conditions.

* Smart focus system for remote and precise focus adjustment.

* Two-way audio.

* Weather-proof IP67-rated housing.

* Built-in 802.3af compliant PoE.

* Built-in SD/SDHC/SDXC card slot for on-board storage.

* Mounting bracket with cable management for protected installation.
