Small camera, maximum power

1 January 2014 Surveillance, Products & Solutions

The importance of aesthetics is becoming more evident to most manufacturers in the IP video industry, and leading the pack is Vivotek with its range of mini dome devices. They are very popular due to their compact design, easy installation, good image quality and aesthetically pleasing shape.

Another key factor is price; these devices are very cost-effective.

Devices such as the FD8136 are taking retail spaces and hotels by storm due to the above-mentioned factors. The wide view angle, combined with high-resolution image, allows installers to install fewer cameras to cover the same area while maintaining excellent image detail.

Because the FD8151V features a high resolution (1,3 MP), it means that more detail can be contained in an image. There are very few cameras of this size which feature built-in IR LEDs. This is what sets it apart from the competition. Even the best low lux cameras need some light to amplify, and this can be detrimental to image quality and frame rates. The FD8151V can provide its own source of light! Amazingly, this tiny camera is also vandal-proof.
