SecureData Africa, a subsidiary of JSE-listed SecureData Holdings, today announced that it has become a member of the HID Advantage Partner Programme. The programme is an extension of Genuine HID and is designed to assure the delivery of superior quality and service to HID Global end-users through a select network of sales channel partners.

Wayne Olsen, chief technology officer at SecureData Africa says that as a member of the HID Advantage Partner Programme, SecureData will work closely with HID Global to leverage the necessary resources, HID Global expertise and knowledge, to deliver tailor-made solutions that will greatly enhance customer value.

“Through HID Global’s broad range of identity assurance solutions, SecureData Africa is now equipped to offer an integrated logical access control portfolio. This consists of strong authentication, credential management and single-credential solutions to address enterprise, financial services and government’s customers’ requirements.

“Furthermore, HID Global is an industry leader and a strong strategic partner for SecureData, as it offers both logical and physical access control solutions. We anticipate customers requiring a converged solution in the short-, mid- and long-term. As a result this positions SecureData Africa in the forefront for customer requirements in the token and authentication technology space,” he comments.

HID Global’s served markets include physical and logical access control, including strong authentication and credential management. The company’s strong authentication and smartcard solutions are relied upon by more agencies and has issued more than 100 million credentials to enterprise, government and commerce customers.

Numerous financial institutions globally, in particular in Africa have implemented HID Global’s identity assurance solutions to provide strong authentication for their employees and customers.
