IRC-200 and IRC-400 thermal cameras

October 2013 Surveillance

IMEC Integration offers thermal imaging equipment for both police and security application, including a range of indoor and outdoor thermal imaging CCTV cameras. Detection ranges to 1 km with distances relative to the focal length of the objective lens and size of targets. The cameras are either medium 160x120 pixel or high resolution or 384x288 and 640x480 pixels using a European detector. It uses 50 Hz frame rate against a normal 8.6 Hz as used in many other thermal cameras and normal composite video output for direct integration to conventional CCTV installations.

In addition to normal surveillance these cameras are very useful and a value-added alarm system using contrast rations for video motion detectors (VMDs) eliminating the need for continuous viewing. As IMEC Integration is an OEM company, it builds the cameras from modules and does local repairs down to PCB levels, not requiring sending the complete camera overseas. Demonstration units are available at its Johannesburg offices.

In addition, it offers a range of hand-held thermal imaging monocular and binoculars and a full range of industrial inspection TI cameras. Thermal imaging complements its range of passive night vision cameras and hand-held observation equipment.
